Houssam Nasrawin
CV
Since 2016, Houssam Nasrawin has been the CEO of Gulf Development Company (“GDC Partners”), an investment and advisory firm based in Abu Dhabi (UAE).
He has founded in 2011 Arab Business Leaders (“ABL”), a NGO meant to bridge the GCC to Europe by encouraging business and entrepreneurship initiatives. He is today the president.
He is presently advisor for the Women empowerment initiative, Womenpreneur meant to foster entrepreneurship for women in the MENA region.
In 2011, Houssam Nasrawin co-founded the consulting firm Mideast Capital based in Dubai. In five years Mideast Capital set up and advised 70 companies in “free-zone” and "off-shore" mainly in Dubai and RAK.
From 2009 to 2011, he worked in Private Equity in Dubai for Agility Logistics investment arm where he was in the investment team, active in Africa and the MENA region.
He has experience in London and Paris, mainly working in Investment Banking at La Société Générale and at Credit Agricole. He then joined Pechel Industries Partners, a private Equity firm in Paris.
In 2012 he received the African Leadership Award from the African Leadership Magazine for all his efforts and achievements to connect African and Arab companies.
Since 2012, Houssam Nasrawin as been active in cultural dialogues between Europe and the MENA region. He has also been mentor for some entrepreneurship initiatives mainly to support young entrepreneurs in the Middle East to launch their companies.
Houssam holds a Master in Finance from Audencia Business School (France) and a BA in International Economics from the University of Paris Nanterre. He also studied at the Ohio State University, USA.
He is a French and Jordanian citizen and lives in Abu Dhabi (UAE).
